Parish Council Elections  

Ever thought of becoming a Parish Councillor?

Do you want to improve the community that you live in?

Due to the resignation of Councillor Ms C Mason, a vacancy is deemed to have occurred in the office of Councillor for the Donnington Ward. If you are interested in becoming a Parish Councillor then why not come to a Parish Council meeting to see what goes on. The qualifications required to be a Councillor are as follows:

  1. You are over the age of 18.
  2. You must be British, Irish or European
  3. You have resided in the Parish or within a 3 mile radius for at least 12 months.
  4. You are an owner or a tenant or
  5. Your principal place of work is within the area.

Parish Council’s are apolitical. This means that you do not have to be a member of or have an allegiance to a political party to become a Parish Councillor. Further details can be obtained from Electoral Services on 01952 383201or the Parish Clerk on 01952 608001.
